We evaluated ZAAS specifically for its ability to remove spyware from infested systems and prevent clean systems from becoming infected, though.

The theory behind ZAAS is that the Firewall component will suppress all harmful spyware activity and the scanner will remove the messy spyware traces. In practice, we’d be a lot happier if the firewall’s messages specifically flagged known spyware. Users still have to decide whether a program should be allowed to access the Internet, add itself to the startup sequence, and so on. When a program attempts truly dangerous behavior like injecting its code into another process or attempting to raise its privilege level, the resulting red alert does clearly point out the danger. But even these warnings don’t specifically identify the offending program as known spyware.

The default Quick Scan is quick—it took less than a minute on our standard clean system. For testing purposes we used the Full Scan, which took five minutes. The Scan Results window displays a clear description of the highlighted item, with a link to more data online. Unfortunately, the only way to widen the Path column to see the full filename or the Registry path of a found item is by widening the entire window. And there’s no full log showing the spyware traces associated with each threat.

In a totalitarian society in a near future, the undercover detective Bob Arctor is working with a small time group of drug users trying to reach the big distributors of a brain-damaging drug called Substance D. The Dead One (2007)

Diego de la Muerte (Wilmer Valderrama) is a 21-year-old Latino-American living in East L.A. where the Día de los Muertos, Day of the Dead, celebration is right around the corner. Diego dresses up as a zombie mariachi before going to a party, in the process tattooing an Aztech death symbol onto himself.

On the way to the party, his car crashes and he is killed. He is sent to Mictlan, the Land of the Dead, where he is sacrificed to Mictlantecuhtli (Nathan Mussell), the God of Death, who rips Diego’s heart out and seals it in a clay pot, giving him total control over his soul. Diego is then returned to Earth, imprisoned inside of a his dead body, his make-up permanently etched onto his face. Now, endowed with the dark power to restore life or to take it, he must battle against the dark god Mictlantecuhtli for his soul, and for the souls of those he loves.
